5A- Identifying Local Opportunities

1. "Testing, distancing likely in store for state campuses" Due to COVID-19, universities around the country have been operating remotely for the last couple months. As fall approaches and students look to return to school, some universities are mandating that students get tested for COVID-19 when they return. Additionally, all universities in the state are required to develop a "testing plan" before they can reopen.  Problem: Organizing medical staff and professionals to administer the tests will be extremely time consuming and difficult.  Who has the problem: State universities in Florida will have to figure out a way to systematically test returning students.  Link:  https://www.gainesville.com/news/20200528/testing-distancing-likely-in-store-for-state-campuses 2. 4A- Forming an Opportunity Belief

I believe that students on campus need more forms of eco-friendly forms of transportation, this being Bird Electric scooters. Though many students have bicycles, most utilize gas powered scooters, cars, or the RTS Bus. While these forms of transportation are convenient, owning a car is costly for students on a budget, and driving a scooter or taking the RTS bus are not environmentally friendly. Communities like FSU have implemented electric Bird Scooters stations around campus in order to promote environmental conservation as well as help students get from point A to point B. This idea stems from my hatred for traffic on University, and has always existed. Students need to be able to get around, however, most students aim to be eco-friendly. Interview 1: Student with a gas powered scooter  How long have you had means to get around campus? Do you have a scooter, car, bike, etc? "I have a scooter" Do you believe UF needs to implement a greener form of transportation that would

3A- My Entrepreneurship Story

Image
One of the premier entrepreneurs of modern times in undoubtedly Tesla and Space-Ex CEO Elon Musk. A personal experience I had with entrepreneurship that shaped my outlook on the profession was when I watched a Ted Talk with Elon Musk. His ability to identify opportunity to improve modern society is incredible and truly inspirational for aspiring entrepreneurs.  I took this class not only to fulfill a degree requirement, but also to teach myself to take risks.

2A- Bug list

Twenty things that bug me  1. The glass around the rink in Daytona where I play hockey is extremely short and pucks go over the glass often. Why? The rink didn't have enough money to replace the glass and redo the ice, so they only redid the ice. 2. The wait time at the DMV is so long when you finally get to go your energy is drained.  Why? There is always an overflow of people trying to do different tasks in one place. 3. One of the legs on the chair in my room squeaks and it makes it hard to focus when I'm trying to do work. Why? It's an old chair. 4. The clocks in my house are a couple minutes off.  Why? They all have different operating systems. 5. My dog digs holes in my backyard and I have to repeatedly fill them in.  Why? She's a puppy, and that's what dogs do. 6. My AirPods are always disconnecting me from my car's bluetooth.  Why? Both my AirPods and my car are connected to my phone, so sometimes the AirPods connect instead of my car. 7. Police officers
